CareMount Medical Adds Specialty Care For Hudson Valley Residents

Dr. Monica Gupta joins the team as a specialist in endocrinology and metabolism. A graduate of Drexel University, she brings a track record of treatment and research of diabetic conditions to CareMount. She is seeing patients at the practice's Briarcliff Manor location and exercises privileges at Northern Westchester Hospital.

A gastroenterology and hepatology specialist, Dr. Varun Kumar comes to CareMount with experience treating a variety of gastroenterological disorders. This includes expertise in colon cancer screening and prevention, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Gut Microbiome Dysbiosis, esophageal and swallowing disorders, liver disease and a variety of procedures. Kumar received his medical degree from SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine and welcomes patients at CareMount Medical’s Columbia St. (Poughkeepsie), Westage (Fishkill), and Kingston offices.

CareMount Medical's growing maternal team has added Dr. Jennifer LaPorta, a family medicine expert, to its staff. Experienced in maternal and child health care, youth emergency services, geriatric and palliative care, her dedication and hard work were recognized last year, as she was named an Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism in Medicine Award nominee. LaPorta earned her medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey and practices at CareMount Medical’s Mount Kisco office.

Dr. Elizabeth Ng has also joined CareMount Medical as a pediatric neurology specialist. Having extensive background in helping children with neurodevelopmental and neurological disorders, and is seeing patients as a pediatric neurologist, pediatric epileptologist and clinical neurophysiologist at the Columbia St. (Poughkeepsie), Merritt Blvd. (Fishkill) and Kingston offices.

A graduate of Albany Medical College, Dr. Katie Pandolfo is seeing patients dealing with eye and vision disorders. Specializing in the treatment of cataracts, strabismus and oculoplastic surgery, she is currently practicing at CareMount Medical’s Rhinebeck and Kingston offices. 

Dr. A. Garvey Rene, a cardiologist, is practicing at CareMount Medical's Mount Kisco and Westage (Fishkill) offices, providing an array of cardiovascular care. Board Certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease, his clinical expertise includes all aspects of cardiovascular diseases, including ventricular septal defects and pericardial effusions.
