JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — A community in Johnstown is coming together to help its local fire department after an unfortunate event.
In January, West Hills Regional Fire Department's ladder truck caught on fire, leaving the fire station without a critical piece of equipment.
It's been almost three months since the event and West Hills Fire Department’s fire chief Robert Tauber says they’re still not sure how much money the insurance will reimburse the department for a new truck that’s expected to cost between $900,000 to a million dollars.
However, the Westmont Elementary PTO decided to lend a helping hand by hosting a spaghetti dinner to help the department with some of the costs.
The spaghetti dinner is set to take place at the Westmont Hilltop Elementary School’s cafeteria on Saturday, April 6.
The dinner will kick off at 4 p.m. and will end at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $7, and takeout will also be available.
You can get tickets here, or in-person at Westmont Hilltop Elementary School.
