Blair Co. man facing gun, drug charges after found passed out at local Sheetz

A Tyrone man is facing a slew of charges related to gun and drug possession after police say they found him passed out in a vehicle at the Sheetz along Pleasant Valley Boulevard.

Logan Township Police say officers were dispatched to the Sheetz location around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday after receiving reports of a man passed out in a van near the air pump station.

The release states that officers approached the vehicle and found the driver, identified as 42-year-old Justin LeFevre, asleep at the wheel.

Police say LeFevre exited the vehicle and officers immediately observed, in plain view, a glass pipe used for smoking methamphetamine and ammunition.

LeFevre reportedly told police that he had not used meth within the past 2-3 days and that there were no weapons inside the vehicle, the release adds.

Police then conducted a search of the vehicle and discovered several items including, a loaded Ruger handgun, an AR-15 rifle and a 9mm pistol, with ammunition.

Police also say they seized nearly $1,300 in cash, as well as cocaine, methamphetamine, miscellaneous pills and drug paraphernalia.

LeFevre faces multiple charges for firearms possession, drug manufacturing/delivery charges and possession of a controlled substance, among others, according to court documents.

Court dockets also show that he is residing at the Blair County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 28.
